The Saul Spirit is not only becoming very popular but is becoming acceptable more and more. Saul was more concerned about what people thought than what God wanted.
So many are running to the name it and claim it gospel, word of faith movement, or falling into legalism because so very few are even wanting to accept or even acknowledge the word of God anymore.
See, the church doesn’t want to admit it but we need a fresh new anointing from God so we are going to have to humble ourselves and raise the standards in our homes to get it.
Saul fell into being a lover of himself and was more concerned about his glory, his pride, his ego and his desires to where he didn’t want to share any of the spotlight with God.
It is so sad that Saul was full of anxiety, paranoia, and depression. Saul was the type of leader that needed to be praised, needed to be the center of attention, he was very arrogant, wanted to do this his own way, hates instruction, haughty look, wants to be exalted and seeks to be exalted at all cost. He knew it was wrong to harm any of Gods anointed but had no fear of God at all when it came to trying to murder David.
It is so sad how many want a seeker-friendly church so they don’t have to confront any sins especially their own.
James 3:16 For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there. When jealousy, pride, and self-centeredness consumed Saul, Saul just fell deeper and deeper into sin.
So many have fallen into all kinds of sin even when confronted by a prophet even like when Saul was confronted so many will try to make excuses for their sin to justify it. So many men and women who fall into the sin of being jealous lose all self-control because they become obsessed and consumed with self to where they act like a god.
So many who allow themselves to be overtaken be a spirit of jealousy often fall into a delusion. See Saul left the fear of God and that is what the church is doing now, so many are forgetting what it means to walk in the fear of God, or what it means to walk in a relationship with Christ.
When Saul was confronted by Saul Spares King Agag
15 Samuel also said to Saul, “The LORD sent me to anoint you king over His people, over Israel. Now, therefore, heed the voice of the words of the LORD.
2 Thus says the LORD of hosts: ‘I will punish Amalek for what he did to Israel, how he ambushed him on the way when he came up from Egypt.
3 Now go and attack Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and do not spare them. But kill both men and women, infant and nursing child, ox and sheep, camel and donkey.’”
1 Samuel 15:9-11 New King James Version 9; But Saul and the people spared Agag and the best of the sheep, the oxen, the fatlings, the lambs, and all that was good, and were unwilling to utterly destroy them. But everything despised and worthless, that they utterly destroyed.
10 Now the word of the LORD came to Samuel, saying,
11 “I greatly regret that I have set up Saul as king, for he has turned back from following Me, and has not performed My commandments.” And it grieved Samuel, and he cried out to the LORD all night.
John 12:43 for they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.
2 Timothy 3 New King James Version (NKJV)
Perilous Times and Perilous Men
3 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come:
2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good,
4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God.
